Money from Paypal

For those who are in the Internet marketing scene for long enough, they’ll know that PayPal is one very convenient way to receive money from anywhere at all. They also know that it’s easy to get the money out of PayPal if you are in the US or if you know how to do it. I didn’t live in the US, but so far, I’ve done 2 (small) withdrawals out of PayPal since I started blogging for money, and I have another one pending.

How did i do it? Let’s just say that I’m lucky enough to have an account with E-Trade and I can receive money using E-trade from PayPal. How did I get an account with E-trade? I’m lucky enough to be visionary and bought company’s stock with the employee stock purchase plan, and my company opened an E-trade for us to deposit the stocks for us. I just need to activate the brokerage side of it and am able to receive money for further investments.

I know you guys will be asking – can you actually get the money out of E-trade from Malaysia? Aren’t you supposed to use the money for trading purposes only? Surprisingly, no. I’m managed to get the money from PayPal out of E-trade, and it’s quite simple too. And the best part is, I can get the money as soon as the money’s in my E-trade account. And without having to wait for the money to be wired back to my Malaysian bank account, and without any heavy wiring fees. How?

By just going to any ATM with Plus sign (practically, any ATMs in Malaysia), put in the supplied debit card, and just withdraw! You’ll need to pay RM10 per withdrawal, so think first before you do any withdrawals at all to make it worthwhile.

How long does it to get the money out of PayPal to my E-trade account? Well, first withdrawal took about 5 days (over the weekend), while the 2nd withdrawal took like 4 days. It’s safe to say that your money will be in within 1 week.

By the way, don’t come asking me how to apply for E-trade account – as much as I would like to help, I don’t know. I know there’s quite a handful of people out there (if you know where to find) that claims to be able to help you with the account. Honestly, I don’t know how true is that going to be. But you could always try out yourself at the E-trade website – just choose the option ” I would prefer to receive a new account application by mail”. Good luck!
