Sex sells?

I have done a little test earlier on whether sex can help sell your products (in our case, blogs or websites) better. Indeed, i got a surge in traffic as soon as I put up a raunchy title, and some raunchy descriptions. In fact, I just started another blog using one of my domains, Chicks Galore! just to further test if my theories are right.

Anyway, I don’t have to push further - we knew sex sells. In fact, I already got loads more traffic in a day for my Chicks Galore! blog than my main blog. Obviously, my main blog’s boring, and when people’s boring, they tend to find something that will excite them, and what excites people (besides money) more than hot chicks? :)

Let’s just say that the experiment was kinda success. I’ll reveal the stats later on to prove my point :)

    I’m a bit sceptical. But from what I gather from your experiment, you’ve proved that sex attracts attention. Would love to know if you can manipulate/convert that attention attracted and convert it to a profits. That I think would clearly prove that sex sells.

    hin ching - i’ll definitely go into that - if you haven’t noticed yet, the Chicks Galore blog is still ad-free. focus on content first, monetization comes later…. that’ll be the next part of the experiment.

    Uhhh.. the proof is easy. There’s like a billion pr0n sites across teh intarweb. That’s proof that sex sells, and they sure bring in a lot of profit as far as the idea is concerned, lol.

    A good example of subtlety in the ’sex sells’ theory, is the Snark’s blog [huntingthesnark.net]. I’m sure he gets a lot of visitors during the weekends to check up on his weekly Girl Friday updates :D

    and u’ve brought up an interesting point. sex does sells - no doubt about it - it’s just how relevant in our normal (non-raunchy) blogs :)

    this will be the really hot topic. no matter what’s the economic situation in the country, sex sells is always on of the hot & most profitable business. tha’s y we always saw so many china chick arrested by polis but there are still ton of them around. this main reason was the demand of it was really high.
