Back to reality…
I’m still exhausted with what I did during the weekends. In case you don’t know what was i up to, I actually went for Sepang SuperGT this year. So much that somehow my paid posts and blogs suffered quite a bit due to negligence
Anyway, I am back with new mission - collect enough money to attend Nikon Day in Bangkok next year, and get a Nikon D80 with 80-100mm zoom lens, and still have money to attend SuperGT again next year!
That would probably set me back at least RM6k-7k, but I have about 1 year to do so. With 10 months (target), I’ll need to raise at least RM700/month to achieve that goal. But i’ll probably need more than that monthly to cover my other stuffs as well. I’ll just need to be more hardworking then.
Anybody got any other khangtau/lubang for me to try? ![]()
Cool spy tools
If you are out on money making mission, you’ll need to equip yourself with tools to assist you and knowledge to boot as well. Likewise, you’ll need tools and some kind of knowledge if you decided to be a spy instead. So, what kind of tools could you use that would make you one super uber cool spy, without dangering yourself by letting your enemy know who you are?
Perhaps some kind of cape & mask ala Zorro would help in masking your identity away. But that would make you too exposed and easily distinguished. You want to be cool, and yet still effective in your mission as well - what’s the use of being cool but eventually got caught because of your cool-ness?
When Michael Weston was fired from being a CIA agent in USA Network’s Burn Notice, he’ll have to make do with what knowledge he has to survive, and he’ll have to do what he knows best - spying. While we don’t have much of the details yet, let’s just say that he’ll have to make do with his spying skills and he really need a job to survive - as he got his own bank account frozen - thanks to the Burn Notice that he received - and he wouldn’t be employed by anybody. What’ll he do? Catch him this coming June 28 for more details
Audit and check
Auditing is something i’ll probably never understand. Moreover, auditing could be tedious at times - not only to the one who’s being audited, but also the one who’s doing the auditing. The amount of paperworks is enough to fill up your entire weekend. Although i always thought why bother auditing when everything’s ok, i can’t help but agree to some point that while trusting is good, a little check here and there is always better.
There’s different audits involving different departments - such as telecom audit, process audit, accounts audit - those are the normal things companies do to comply with certifications that they applied for, such as ISO9001 or the kind.
I’ll probably be involved in audits soon, but don’t really know to what extend. I just hope that whatever audit that they are conducting would be done for, soon ![]()
More holiday, please
Although i just got back from holiday, i really felt i need another vacation already. It’s probably because of the hecticness in my daily schedule, and work too. Probably the fact that Streamyx was down a few days back may have some effect on me wanting to go for another holiday. Maybe somewhere outside of Malaysia?
Maybe I should take a holiday at some place with amusement park. Probably Disney vacation home. Probably. But with me not hitting my personal money-making targets lately, how could I afford it? Maybe I could afford it with my bonus money at the end of year, if there’s any at all. That would also depends on whether I could stay sane till the end of the year!
But with some changes coming, i really hope it would be for the better ![]()
Golf and the people playing it
People always associate golf with people with a lot of money. I don’t know - even if i have a lot of money, i would still not waste my time by playing golf. To me, I still can’t stomach the idea of hitting a ball over a large field to put the ball in the hole, and there’s 18 hole to play. It’s hot, and it looked stupid too.
Besides, the upkeep of the game itself is way too expensive. Branded stuffs like Callaway golf clubs could cost you upwards US$500. And that’s only one club - you are talking about many clubs if you are serious in golfing.
Seriously - i’ll just keep the golf thingy out of the way and concentrate on ways to making money. Maybe I’ll take up cycling - at least I lose more sweat that way.
To Genting, and back
I was in Genting Highlands over the weekend, escaping the fact that I can’t online at home. The trip was organised by one of my team members, and we certainly had quite a lot of fun. I guessed this was the only trip to Genting that I didn’t end up losing any money in gambling - in fact, I wasn’t even in the mood for gambling. I made my way to the casino with all the intention to place some bets, but the fact that the tables have minimum bets of RM50 just put me off betting
Maybe it’s a good thing.
But i can’t help but noticed the furnitures there. Some of them are very nice looking, while some are hideously done. I wonder if it is Studio RTA Furniture. I guessed I’ll never know until i find it out myself.
But then again, why ain’t i gamble? Now i’m starting to feel regret……
Who is George Lindemann?
To tell you the truth, I never knew who George Lindemann Jr was until I was assigned to do this assignment on him. Apparently, he’s one rich kid who was sailing-crazy.
The mention of the surname only reminds me of one guy – if you watched Heroes, you’d know that there’s this one character called “Mr. Lindemann” – I wonder if they are related.
Anyway, back to the topic, George Lindemann is one of the many billionaires (besides Bill Gates, of course) in the world, and he has a lot of dough to spend. Anybody with a lot of money is an idol to me – of course, he’ll have to earn the money honestly as well
Tattoos, anybody?
When I was smaller, I used to think that having tattoos are a cool thing to do. Although I never got any tattoos on me (except those temporary, henna-based tattoos) when I thought I would, I’m actually scared shit of needles. Especially if you have to be poked a lot of times while the ink is pumped into your skin. Not really a pretty sight to look at.
But then again, I guessed my cowardness in getting tattoos does pay, as it may have put me in trouble with the authority. These days, the police are on the lookout to clear gangsterism as much as possible. Tattoos are a dead giveaways that these guys are somehow related to gangsterism (in the eyes of the authority lah), although in actual those with tattoos might be harmless.
Maybe I should just go and have one on my hand. I guessed my dad is just gonna shoot me if he sees it ![]()
Plastic surgery
We have read and heard from a lot of sources on plastic surgery, and we thought we knew about plastic surgery. But if you really look into it, are you really sure you know what is plastic surgery all about?
Plastic surgeries are the surgeries that you made to enhance whatever body parts that you think need “fixing”. It can be from your eyes, ears, skin – and up to even your private parts. Yes – you could just change from one sex to another by performing plastic surgery. Of course it’s not 100% change.
If I really have the moolah to do plastic surgery, I think there’s only one thing that I’d like to do – liposuction. Hahah… why is that? I guessed I’m just fat And oh ya… maybe I should do rhinoplasty to make my nose a bit smaller.
But then again, I’d rather keep whatever God gives me and appreciate it that I’m still able to use them ![]()
Hairy scary
With a lot of people being self conscious these days, losing your hair can be somewhat embarrassing, especially if you are still young. Although my family has the history of balding in men (my dad and my uncles are partly bald, especially in the middle of the head), I’m still lucky to have my full lock of hair on my head.
I don’t really see any need on having hair replacement treatment on my hair yet. At my age, my dad already started to show symptoms of baldness, while I haven’t got any yet. I have lots of white hairs, though, and wasn’t so sure if that’s one of the symptoms as well. Maybe it’s stress. Hmm…
