You think you know about insurance?
I used to hate people coming to me talking about insurance - about how great their insurance company is, about how great you can be when you start being like them - without actually touching on the products itself.
When i go for insurance talk, i liked to compare the different products offered by the different companies. Most of the time, my interest is in Life insurance - on what it can provide me. Definitely as a consumer, I have so seek out the cheapest possible option that covers a lot of things for me
And now that my house in underway, i’m looking at the different Home insurance available in the market - what’s being offered, and what’s the premium like. It’s something new, and it’s not exactly fun to browse thru market offerings.
I already have a car insurance, and it’s not exactly a cheap car insurance. Why? The more coverage, the better my heart feels. Not like I’m going to use it anyway
It’s the feeling that counts.

They deserved another chance?
I’m actually giving Streamyx a chance to redeem themselves, and actually chronicling my encounter with them. From what I got now, they don’t actually deserve another chance anymore.
Maybe i should just just take some track lighting and shove it up their behinds. Maybe I’ll feel better that way. Hmmm… maybe i change my mind - maybe i’ll take that lightings and shove it up their CEO’s behind!
Be out of debt… pls…
Being in debt is not fun. Being out of debt, after being deeply in debt, is definitely good, and the feeling is good. How I know? I was in debt once, and was in quite a bad one. Managed to get out of it, although partly still - but now pretty much in control.
But one thing I have to admit - most of the time you don’t know if you need help when you are in debt. Most of the time, you won’t admit that you are in bad debt. So if you are in need, get all the debt help you can get.
You can always opt for Individual Voluntary Arrangement or IVA when you in the brink of bankruptcy - you’ll get the protection from loan interest and that. Just ain’t sure if that’s available in Malaysia.
Another way to get out of debt fast is to do debt consolidation. Get all your debt in one place, and stop adding anymore new ones. That way, you know what your debts are, and more likely to freak out when you see the consolidated amount. That way - you’ll be able to control your spending, and plan your financials properly. Good luck!

Save the rhino!
Yes - I’m a tree-loving hippies, and I loved my environment
Ok… it’s not always about making money - sometimes it’s about giving back to your environment as much as possible. Probably the fact that I grew up partly in the village setting helps me understand and be more concern about environment.
That’s why when i saw Nuffnang going green by supporting Honda’s Save The Rhino project, i immediately think of what I could do. Not like I have much money anyway, but the least i can do is write about it in my blog, hoping that those with loads of money will see something valuable in it and help with the project. The most i could do is probably to include the icon in my birthday invitations. But wait - my birthday has passed ![]()

Thoof-ing your way to more traffic
Who don’t love traffic, especially if you can get it for free? OK - for those not really in the SEO business might not understand why we loved traffic - they may even refer to traffic jam, and they may not understand it
For us - especially trying to make some decent income from blogs - really a lot of traffic can somehow translate to some money. If you like reading news online, you will find that Thoof somehow resembles personalized news for you - especially if you like snooping around people’s blog.
Also - with ThoofRank badge, you’ll know which news worth your time. Each Thoof news has this ThoofRank badge, which would increase in percentage each time the news is read. The more exposure, the higher your percentage. Anything above 60% is definitely worth your time to snoop around reading the news.
If you have news-worthy blogpost, make sure you Thoof it. If you write anything that you want the world to know, make sure you Thoof it. If you just like attention, just Thoof it
Enough
That’s it - enough for today. I guessed I easily almost break my own personal record in writing posts - paid or not. Although i felt that I could write more (and my notebook batteries could go on another 3 hours), but I guessed one have to stop for a day. It’s Sunday, for God’s sake
Any more posts than this is really gonna make me look like a auto accessories seller - desperate in pushing sales that would even try to do sales to a kid!
Just kidding though - i guessed I haven’t reached that point of desperation yet.
Also, my aches started to settle in (i played pingpong the whole morning, remember?). So, i’m going to put everything on hold, although i have something else to check out (like Linkworth’s new dashboard), and leaving soon. There’s always tomorrow, right? ![]()
Loans - too easy the approvals?
I only have one qualm about loans - i think that they are approved quite easily. Just take my recent car loan - i guessed it’s approved too easily without much reference done to see if I can actually afford the loan or not.
Maybe it’s the bank loan agent that’s eager to close my sales. I don’t know - but i certainly felt that the application was approved way too easily. I haven’t taken any personal loans - unless if you consider credit cards to be part of the loan
But seriously, from what I heard from my friends who applied for personal loans, they seem to be echoing the same thing that I said - the loan was approved too easily, that sometimes it seems like they are desperate in chasing sales.
Probably the only consolation that we get is the fact that secured loans seems to have a little more steps in verifying if you are able to pay up. I guessed by getting collaterals in exchange for the loan, it’s just fair that the banks do some background checks before actually releasing the loan. Not that I’m complaining though…..

7 pages, but only 1 and half is available
I logged into PayPerPost to see if I can take any new post, and I’m elated to see there’s 133 posts available. All 7 pages of them. I was thinking - maybe I can finally write some paid posts for my old blogspot blog. I’m not that greedy by the way - i was only looking for US$5 posts to write in the blogspot post. I guessed that’s kinda fair for a PR1 site, right?
I guessed I’m wrong. I scroll thru all the US$5 posts like i was scrolling thru the brochure for Wilmington NC real estate, and all i can find is all the opps are for PR3 sites. And at least 50 words post. Some are even asking for 300 words for US$5, and on a PR3 site, no less!
And do i have to mention that some of the opps are only available for US & Canadian posties? That, i’m not complaining about - it’s probably the advertisers are targetting the US & Canadian-based customers. But US$5 for PR3 site with 300 words? I guessed I’m just gonna passed these opps *sigh*
Slow, stucky month
This month is kinda slow month for me
I ended last month pretty well, and was already geared up to be earning more this month. There’s really only one thing that somehow slow me down - my Internet connection. Yes - my Streamyx connections sucks, and I haven’t been able to sustain a stable connection for about 2 weeks now.
If I’m a real estate agent recommending the ideal Internet connection for my possible real estate client, i would definitely not be recommending Streamyx. I would probably say something like “Anything, but Streamyx”. And why me myself is still stuck with Streamyx? That’s because Jaring won’t come to Penang, and Penangfon wouldn’t come to my apartment just yet.
What other options do I have left? Maxis. That I have already signed up, and now waiting for the installer to come and check if my area is in coverage. Am ready to ditch Streamyx anytime.
And oh - in case you are wondering - i’m now sitting at Starbucks, typing away
If you see a guy with red shirt in Starbucks E-gate typing away in one corner, that’s probably me ![]()
Blackjack in 4-in-1 Game Lobby - launched!
BackGammonMasters.com has done it again - this time, by launching something new - Blackjack in 4-in-1 Game Lobby!
I have previously blogged about them and actually tried out their backgammon games. I have to admit - i never know much about backgammon before, but after a few games with them, I can say that I understand the game better, and have beaten the computer quite a fair bit
I’m kinda looking forward to them launching the blackjack in the 4-in-1 games lobby, so they now have backgammon, perudo, poker and now blackjack is in the list as well. I’m probably better in blackjack than the 3 other games - a lot of practise off line helps i guessed. But my backgammon skills is catching up fast.
Of course - all the while I’ve only been playing virtual money. I didn’t say that you can’t play real money there - in fact, the people at BackGammonMasters.com gives you some extra money with every dollars that you deposit. You could get up to 133% bonus out off your deposit. Besides that, you could also get US$25 (one time bonus) to somehow help you kick start your game.
I’m not waiting anymore - maybe this could be one of the way for me to get some extra $$$ online?
