For my lenses!
I kept looking for articles to write for this blog - and it’s overwhelming that i don’t even know what to write about. This blog is supposed for me to write about my money-making ventures. The problem is that currently, i’m too tied with other things but making money. OK - maybe working counts as making money as well but that aside.
I think i did mentioned a few times that i like photography, and as you all know, it’s not a cheap hobby. Lenses & accessories costs money. Lucky for us in the digital world, we do not have to wait for our pictures to be developed to see the result - that’s more money as well.
So to get better lenses and accessories, i need more money. So now, i’m re-looking at the available avenues for me to make money outside of my current job. As much as possible, i do not want to touch my salary for my hobby.

It’s coming!
Today would probably be the day i’ll remember for a very long time. No, it’s not the day where i got a condo hotel on my own, but it’ll probably be the day i’ll greet my first baby! 
Just admitted my wife to the hospital and since it’s still early in labour, the nurse on duty actually ask me to come back and get some sleep first before going back in the morning.
I have no actual plan on what to do in the labour room - should i sit next to my wife and hold her hands, or should i just sit at one corner and watch the whole procedure? I guessed i’ll just let things happens as it is, and i’ll just follow along. For now, let me settle some unfinished business and work before i’ll start to get real busy in the morning.
Still wandering
Been reading up a lot of articles and ways to earn that extra money for my next lens upgrade The only problem is that i kept getting distracted by the promotional items and will wander off for a while before coming back to my main objective again.
Let’s see - simple calculation would be, i’d like to get the lens by June next year - in time for the Super GT again. That leaves me like 10 months to earn about RM4000 for the lens. I don’t want this amount to come from my salaried pocket, so i’d got to supplement it from somewhere else. Like the web. Or maybe doing some photography gig or something. Which works out to be about RM400/month.

How can i get money for lens?
Photography is indeed a money-consuming hobby - and yes, you wouldn’t be content on owning just one lens. That’s because one lens won’t give you the range that you need, and the brightness that you want or expect. Now - i got a body, and a 50mm portrait prime lens. What i need now is a longer range zoom lens - 70-200mm focal length to be precise.
And now i need money. If possible, for me to get the lens before June next year so that i can use it during the SuperGT trip. I’m looking at saving/accumulating of at least Rm300-500 per month for me to get the lens by then. But how? By taking up sales manager jobs so that i can get more commissions when i make more sales?

Olympics 2008 - Beijing
Looking around for more ways, or rather, re-visit the ways i used to go into making extra cash online. I guessed that’ll probably be stopped for a while for me to properly enjoy the Beijing Olympics 2008 games on the TV.
Olympics games have been always the game that i like the most - comprising world’s best athletes from around the world. And this time - it’s in Beijing, and it’s the same time zone as us. So hopefully can catch a lot of live actions on the TV this time round.

Not much to find
I still get a lot of those marketing emails from those sites that i used to subscribe to when i was actively looking for ways to supplement my income online. Many, many emails, that sometimes i’ll just glance thru, and delete. There’s a few times that i’m tempted to click on to see what’s available for grabs, especially those with money-back guarantee and stuffs.
I’m actually kinda back to looking for ways to supplement my income thru the Internet. I tried looking back to what i was familiar with - paid blogging. The only problem is that there’s not much opportunity to write on anymore. Besides, the pay is kinda low compared to what it used to be 1 year back.

I hate politics
I hate politics. I hate anything to do with politics. I don’t hate the politicians - i just don’t really like them. I don’t like most of them - the ones that speak the louder earns my hatred even more. I don’t know - politicians are just the same - all talk, but don’t really act. If they act, they’ll want everybody in the whole wide world to know that they are doing something.
Politicians can eat my crap while i go check out massage therapy schools to release my tension.
Amusing…
I think i have hung my swimsuits to forget about my recent trip to Langkawi, but apparently, i’m not. Hehe… I’m still pretty much in holiday mode. In fact, i think i’m pretty much in holiday mode all the time. And today being the US holiday due to Independence Day, there’s nothing much happening on the forex market today.
Nothing much happen, so more news reading. While i don’t know what to believe anymore about the political scene happening in Malaysia now, i still read the news for amusement. Hehe - another source of my amusement.
Why not triggered?
Where was i for the past week? Ermm.. besides getting ready for the baby’s arrival in less than 3 months time, i was just looking at the forex charts and not do anything. Frankly, i don’t know how to enter the market. Besides, all the entry orders that i set were either too high or too low, and end up never actually triggered any orders.
Besides, the market swings up and down kinda too heavy as well - one hour it’s down, the other hour is back up again. For the time being, i’ll just go look at reno hotels while still continue monitoring the chart. I’ll enter when it’s right. Heh.
Do I need business cards?
One time back i was contemplating on having my own logo design and my own business cards if i have to promote myself as Internet marketer or something in that region. Besides, having your own company logo on your own business card will carry more weight. So i went to look around and found logoyes.com and try out their logo designer to see what it can give me.
Starting with which industry i’m in, i began choosing the logo that closely resembles what i intend to do. Once i got the symbol, i keyed in my company name and chose the layout that i like for my business card. Then i just chose the font and the color that i like, and here’s the end result:
